Quarantine for pet dogs and cats
entering UK from UAE!
The United Arab Emirates has been accepted
by the international community as a rabies free zone. This
means that quarantine is no longer required for animals entering
the UK from the UAE, provided the proper procedures have been
followed to allow access to the UK’s Pet Travel Scheme
(PETS)

Requirements summary for direct
entry of pet dogs and cats from the
UAE to the UK:
1) Microchip identification
2) Rabies vaccines
3) Blood sample and laboratory proof of immunity
4) 6 month wait from the time of sampling/testing
5) Parasite control close to departure
6) Correct documentation
