Dr Martin Wyness
BVM&S, MRCVS
Is the founder and CEO of The British Veterinary Centre. He brings experience from UK, Australia, New Zealand and the USA to the UAE and wider Middle East market.  Martin's major interest is in keeping the British Veterinary Centre at the forefront of private veterinary care in the UAE and wider region. He is also involved with development of veterinary services in the Middle East. 

Our Team

Dr Jonathan Hale
B. Vet Science, Cert VR, MRCVS

Jonathan is our clinical director and responsible for the day-to-day running of our clinic.  He is a very experienced surgeon and performs the majority of the daily operations at The British Veterinary Centre. He also sees complicated cases (referrals) from the Arabian Gulf region.

Dr. Katrin Jahn DrMedVet, CertVA, MRCVS

Is an experienced veterinarian with special qualifications in anaesthesia.  She is from Germany and has worked several years in the UK. She has a particular interest in treating ill cats (feline medicine), a very useful interest in our daily practice as the majority of our patients are feline!    

 

Kris

Is our lab technician and runs samples using a range of modern laboratory equipment. Her ambition is to become a vet and Kris aims to be  studying in the USA next year.

Khalid Is a UAE national and follows in the footsteps of his sister Amina in working for the practice.  Khalid has special responsibilities relating to stock ordering but also is flexible enough to be able to do almost anyone job with a smile.

Stephanie

Is a fully qualified nurse with experience from practice in Europe and the USA. She is responsible for surgical nursing and anaesthesia monitoring.

Charmia

is a veterinary doctor from the Phillipines. Togeather with Sr nurse Wilna she makes sure that the inpatients receive the nursing care and medications essential for a swift recovery after illness or surgery.

Jen 

holds two positions.  In the morning she works hard behind the scenes making sure all our bills are paid and in the afternoons she (and Ivan her parrot) are the welcoming personalities behind the desk at reception

Wilna

 is a very caring veterinary nursing sister from South Africa.  She is involved with the daily nursing care of the inpatients and keeps owners informed of their pet's progress.  

Primo Yumol is the newest addition to our veterinary nursing team. A very caring and educated man, Primo's background includes veterinary training in the Phillipines, and we are pleased to include in our nursing team"

 

Mona is our extremely efficient receptionist and makes sure the reception area runs a smoothly as possible - not always easy in a vet practise!

Fahad
is
BVC’s public relations officer and is responsible for collections and delivery of animals at the UAE’s international airports.

Saeed

Is one of our cleaners / messengers and helps with the increased workload in boarding, feeding and cleaning.

Hameed

Hameed is one of our diligent service team.  He makes sure that the premises is always ship shape and ready for the next ill animal to be helped.  

Dr Joy Paita is our practice manager and is also veterinary trained.  She's  responsible for the smooth  running of the clinic, ensuring  administrative matters are taken care of and allowing the clinical staff to do what they do best - caring for your pet."

 

 Joseph is our groomer - the only professional groomer in Abu Dhabi.  He does great work on the most challenging coats and is THE groomer to use if you want that show- standard finish or just a good smart tidy-up.

Dilys
pretends to be useful but contributes nothing at all to the running of the BVC. She is, however, one of the boss's dogs and very loving, which must count for something!
